About Us

Elaine’s House is a place where girls are empowered to be their full potential and serve as change agents in their community.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to empowering young ladies, ages 8 to 18, and providing them with the knowledge, tools, and resources to grow up healthy, educated, and independent.

Our Vision

We envision a society that focuses on providing young ladies, ages 8 to 18, with the necessary skills and personal strength to develop a life of character, integrity, inner beauty, and purpose.

Our Story

How We Got Started

Growing up in a single-parent household, our Founder / Executive Director, Katara Phelps, watched her mother be a provider and community leader. Inspired by her mother’s hard work, drive, and ambition, Katara forged her own path.

Her love for the arts led her to create her own company, MasXpressions Productions. MasXpressions is a full-service entertainment firm that provides Artist Management, Dance / Choreography, and Event Planning services.

Outside of work, Katara is a professional dance instructor. She provides dance courses to children, ages 8 to 18, in the following disciplines: Modern, Jazz, and Ballet.

Using her love for the arts, philanthropy, and community leadership, Katara created Elaine’s House: a place where girls are empowered to be their full potential and serve as change agents in their community.

Where We Are Now

In collaboration with Tampa Bay Patient Care Services and Hope Academy, we provide young girls with culturally and gender-responsive educational programming, support initiatives, and resource connections.

Our programs are offered once a quarter and run for 6 weeks. They consist of a series of classes, workshops and individual sessions based on timeless Christian principles with a focus on helping young girls understand their worth and developing the courage and confidence that comes with that knowledge.
